Vinyl Minifigures are extremely popular among collectors. And within the group of Funko Enthusiasts there are special abbreviations and words that they use. We would like to explain this to you. The information below also provides more insight into the world of Funko!

What types of finishes are there

  • Metallic : Finished with a metallic, often glassy paint.
  • Patina: The Pop! looks "old" as if it is rusted.
  • GITD: Glow in the Dark. These Funko's glow in the dark.
  • Translucent : (semi) transparent.
  • Flocked: The Funko Pop! has a "fur"

Differences between Funko Pop!'s

  • Vaulted: These Pop!'s are no longer produced by Funko, which immediately makes them a lot more valuable.
  • Grail: By this they mean that this Funko is a "holy grail", and that a collector would really like to have it.
  • Rare: Rare.
  • Exclusive: Released exclusively for a company or convention. 2TToys has some of these sets!
  • Chase : Some Funko Pop!'s have a so-called "Chase" variant. A Chase variant can be a different shape or just a metallic version of the same Pop!.
  • Oversized: These are extra large Funko Pops, they are larger than the standard 4". Usually they are 6" and sometimes 9".
