The NASA Space Shuttle Discovery set is a tribute to perhaps the most famous space shuttle in history and is very popular with LEGO fans. The set has authentic details such as the folding landing gear, opening cockpit, movable elevator ailerons, space arm and 5 crew seats. We never need an excuse to make great new sets. But in 2022 we will be celebrating the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group, so we thought it would be a good idea to come up with something special for the occasion. That's why this year we're releasing a new version of an iconic vintage set from the late 70s that we're sure you'll love: the LEGO Galaxy Explorer.

This set is guaranteed to bring back fond memories of your childhood. There are some differences with the classic set: the spaceship has the same retro color scheme, but uses new construction techniques and elements. Not only do the cockpits open, there is also a rear door with a fold-out ramp and a reconnaissance vehicle. The landing legs are collapsible and the side engines can be detached to form smaller spaceships.

The four classic minifigures and their robot assistant can take place in the detailed cockpit. There are also beds, computers and storage spaces. Now you have to decide where to go. This time of year the weather is lovely on Jupiter!
