No more stickers: LEGO Star Wars UCS badges printed from 2023

In addition to the unveiling of the LEGO 75331 UCS Razor Crest, there is other great news today. From next year, all LEGO Star Wars UCS plaques will be printed and will no longer need to be provided with huge stickers, according to YouTuber David Hall aka Solid Brix Studios in his most recent Instagram story. The LEGO Fan Media Days are currently taking place in Billund, Denmark, to which selected influencers and LEGO-recognized blogs have been invited. This morning the presentation of the Razor Crest took place there, where David probably took the opportunity to ask about the UCS plates.
LEGO Star Wars UCS plates always come with stickers
A real LEGO Star Wars set from the Ultimate Collector Series always comes with an accompanying plaque with the most important information and facts about the built spaceship. For as long as the badges have existed, there has always been frustration among buyers and fans of the expensive sets over the stickers. Their size makes them difficult to straighten. And what's worse than a crooked sticker on a set that you could have paid 849.99 euros for?
All buyers can be happy that this will no longer apply to all new UCS sets from next year. Not only will there be less stress when building in the future, but the value of the construction kits will also noticeably increase. This summer, the LEGO Technic 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 equipped with it showed what a printed UCS badge could look like. The only drawback here: the sprue point in the center of the 8×16 tile, which would otherwise have been covered by the sticker, is now clearly visible. It was hoped that a new part would be designed here with the sprue point at a different point.
