PlayStation (PS1) gets its own LEGO set in December 2026 (72306)

LEGO Gaming 72306 PlayStation (PS1)

LEGO Gaming 72306 PlayStation (PS1) is said to consist of 1,911 bricks and have a suggested retail price of Dhs. 640. Internally at LEGO, the project reportedly bears the codename ‘Play’ or ‘P’. The set is reportedly a display model of the first-generation PlayStation, including one controller. Based on previous LEGO consoles, there is a good chance that a well-known PlayStation game will also be included as a buildable disc, although it is not yet known which title that would be. Additionally, the model will likely feature a flip-open disc tray and a Memory Card. Set number: 72306

Name: PlayStation (PS1)

  • Theme: Gaming
  • Number of bricks: 1911
  • Number of minifigures: none
  • Release date: December 1, 2026
  • Recommended age: 18+

The original PlayStation was released in Japan in 1994 and quickly became one of the most important consoles in gaming history. With classics like Final Fantasy VII, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid, and Crash Bandicoot, Sony managed to build a massive fanbase. The console's design will be instantly recognizable to anyone who grew up with it: a light gray casing with a round disc tray on top, four buttons on the front, and two controller ports with Memory Card slots. Moreover, the system's angular design lends itself perfectly to a LEGO version.
