LEGO releases a new member of the Technic Ultimate Car Concept series every two years.

This means we can expect another 1:8 scale supercar in 2026. LEGO Technic 42232 will be released in July 2026 with a suggested retail price of 1800 Dhs and will be available exclusively through the LEGO Shop for the first few months.

According to the latest rumors, LEGO Technic 42232 will consist of 4,104 bricks. This would surpass the current record held by the LEGO Technic 42172 McLaren P1 with 211 pieces. This seems to be continuing LEGO's trend of each new Ultimate Car containing more bricks than its predecessor. The good news is that this doesn't seem to affect the set's price yet.

The supercar the model is based on hasn't yet been officially confirmed. The name Lotus Emira has been a prominent rumor. This is based on a recent Instagram video from Lotus in which the car slowly drives over a yellow 2x4 LEGO brick. While there's no hard evidence, it's fueling the speculation.
